My Commitment -  Your Wellbeing

 My Story and Mission

I created Serenity Mindset Therapy to offer support that truly meets you where you are.

I understand that reaching out for help can feel difficult, and that traditional therapy settings don’t suit everyone. That’s why I offer flexible options, including home visits and walk-and-talk sessions, designed to make accessing support feel easier and less overwhelming.

My aim is to provide a calm, safe, and welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself — whether that’s in your own home, outdoors in nature, or in a more traditional setting.

I believe everyone deserves compassionate, personalised support in an environment where they feel at ease. For me, it’s about gently breaking down the barriers to therapy, so you can access help in a way that feels right for you.

This is Me

I’m a person-centred counsellor, and I’ve trained in a range of approaches so I can adapt the way I work to suit you as an individual.

I’ve been supporting people for many years — both through counselling and in my role as a foster carer. These experiences have given me a real understanding of how complex life can feel, especially when things become overwhelming or difficult to manage.

For me, this work isn’t just about qualifications — it’s about connection. I aim to offer a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, without judgement, and go at a pace that feels right for you.

Outside of my work, I’m someone who feels most at home in nature. I love animals, being outdoors, and the sense of calm that comes with fresh air and open space — something I often bring into my sessions, especially for those who feel more comfortable outside of a traditional therapy setting.

I’m a registered member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, fully insured, and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, so you can feel reassured that I work in a safe, ethical, and professional way.

This is Bella, my pride and joy — and my little reminder to slow down and enjoy the simple things.       👉

Hi, I’m Sian, the therapist behind Serenity Mindset Therapy.

I know how overwhelming life can feel at times — because I’ve experienced my own ups and downs too. I understand what it’s like to live with anxiety, low mood, and loss, and how hard it can be to reach out for support.

Alongside my personal experience, I’ve worked as a foster carer, wellbeing coach, family support practitioner, and counsellor. This has given me a deep understanding of the challenges people face when things feel heavy, confusing, or out of control.

My approach is gentle, person-led, and trauma-informed. There’s no pressure and no expectations — just a safe space where you can go at your own pace and feel truly heard.

I also offer outdoor sessions for those who feel more comfortable in nature, as I’m someone who finds calm in the outdoors, animals, and fresh air.

If you’re feeling unsure about therapy or don’t know where to start, that’s completely okay. We can begin with a simple, no-pressure chat to see if this feels right for you.

"Feel Comfortable"

My Approach

I offer a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can feel truly heard — maybe for the first time in a long while.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start, we can gently explore things together at a pace that feels right for you. There’s no pressure to open up before you’re ready, and no expectation to have everything figured out.

This is a space where you can begin to understand your thoughts and emotions, rebuild confidence, and start to feel more like yourself again.

I believe therapy should meet you where you are — not expect you to fit into a traditional model.

Many people I work with say they feel heard, understood, and more at ease after our sessions.

People often find me approachable and easy to talk to. For some, this has meant feeling more supported and understood compared to previous experiences of seeking help.
