How I Can Support You
Therapy that adapts to you — your pace, your needs, your environment.

Home Visit Therapy (Bridgend & Surrounding Area's)
Ideal if you:
- Feel anxious leaving home
- Struggle with traditional clinical settings
- Need more accessible, flexible support
For many people, the idea of attending therapy in a clinical setting can feel daunting. Travelling, unfamiliar environments, or simply leaving the house can sometimes add extra pressure at a time when things already feel overwhelming.
Home-based therapy offers a gentler alternative.
Being in your own space can help you feel more at ease, allowing conversations to flow more naturally. There’s no need to rush, no unfamiliar surroundings — just a calm, familiar environment where you can begin to open up at your own pace.
Some people find that this sense of comfort helps reduce anxiety, making it easier to engage with therapy and feel more present in the process.
It can also make support more accessible. Whether you’re managing a busy life, struggling with motivation, or finding it difficult to leave home, therapy coming to you can remove some of those barriers.
Home-based counselling is not about changing who you are or pushing you before you’re ready. It’s about meeting you where you are — both emotionally and physically — and working together in a way that feels manageable and supportive.
There is no pressure, no expectation — just a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported in a way that feels right for you.

Walk & Talk Therapy (Bridgend & Surrounding Area's)
A gentle alternative to sitting in a room, helping to:
- Reduce anxiety
- Improve mood
- Make conversations feel more natural.
For some people, sitting face-to-face in a room can feel intense or uncomfortable. Walk & Talk therapy offers a more relaxed and natural way to engage in counselling.
Being outdoors, side by side rather than opposite each other, can ease some of that pressure. Conversations often feel less formal and can flow more naturally, making it easier to open up at your own pace.
Spending time in nature can also have a calming effect. The fresh air, gentle movement, and change of surroundings can help to reduce feelings of anxiety and improve overall mood.
Walking can provide a sense of space — both physically and mentally. Many people find that being outside helps them think more clearly, reflect more freely, and feel less “stuck” in their thoughts.
There’s no expectation to walk far or fast. Sessions are guided by you — your pace, your comfort, and your needs on the day.
Walk & Talk therapy can feel like a softer, more manageable step into support, especially if traditional settings feel overwhelming.

Online & Phone Call Sessions
Accessible and flexible sessions via secure video call.
Offered Through Phone call, Teams and WhatsApp.
Ideal for accessible and flexible support.
Online therapy offers a flexible and accessible way to receive support, wherever you feel most comfortable.
For many people, being able to access therapy from their own space can make the process feel less overwhelming. There’s no need to travel or adjust your day around appointments, which can make it easier to take that first step.
It can also provide a greater sense of privacy. Some people feel more at ease opening up when they are in familiar surroundings, without the pressure of being in an unfamiliar environment.
Online sessions can fit more easily around work, family life, and other commitments, helping therapy feel more manageable and consistent.
Although sessions take place through a screen, the focus remains the same — building a safe, supportive connection where you feel heard and understood.
Online therapy can be a gentle starting point, or a practical long-term option, offering support in a way that works for your life.
What to expect from support
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re unsure what it might involve. The process is kept simple, supportive, and guided by you at every stage.
It’s completely okay to feel unsure — reaching out is often the hardest part.
I’m here to support you in a way that feels comfortable and right for you.
Free Initial Phone Call
I offer a free initial, no-obligation call.
This is a short, informal conversation to help you decide if this feels right for you.
There’s no pressure to share anything you’re not comfortable with. It’s simply a space to:
- Talk a little about what’s bringing you to therapy
- Ask any questions you may have
- Get a feel for how I work
You’re welcome to take your time afterwards to decide whether you’d like to go ahead.
First Session
The first session is about getting to know you and creating a safe starting point, building the therapeutic relationship. Before we begin working together, we will agree a clear working contract so you understand how sessions will be conducted. This will include confidentiality, session expectations, fees and cancellation policy.
We may gently explore:
- What has brought you to therapy
- What you might like support with
- What feels important for you right now
There’s no expectation to go into everything straight away. We move at a pace that feels manageable for you.
Ongoing Sessions
Following sessions are shaped around you and what you need each week.
This might include:
- Talking through thoughts, feelings, or experiences
- Gaining a deeper understanding of patterns or challenges
- Finding ways to cope, process, and move forward
Some sessions may feel more reflective, others more practical — all are a natural part of the process.
There is no “right” way to do therapy.
Final Session
We will end our session's when you feel comfortable and ready in doing so.
Ending therapy is something we approach gently and thoughtfully.
This may happen when:
- You feel ready to move forward independently
- Your goals have been met
- Or you feel in a more settled place
We can take time to:
- Reflect on the progress you’ve made
- Acknowledge the journey you’ve been on
- Think about how to continue supporting yourself
Endings are not rushed — they are an important and valued part of the process.
